Columbus Blue Jackets' forwards career could be over due to concussions
Head injuries are unfortunately part of the NHL, whether the league is willing to admit it or not. For Jakub Voracek those head injuries may very well be the cause of his career derailment. Earlier this year after playing only 11 games Voracek suffered another head injury.
Voracek suffered the injury on November 5th and has been out of the lineup ever since. Now it appears doctors are not giving him the green light to attempt another return. According to Frank Seravalli, doctors are so concerned with Voracek's history that they've told the center to take time away from the game.
Jake Voracek (out since Nov. 5) out indefinitely with a concussion. Doctors advised him to take some time after numerous career head injuries.
Voracek has had multiple documented concussions at the NHL level. When doctors begin to show this level of concern there definitely has to be some worries about Voracek's post hockey health.
There is no telling if this will be the last we've seen from Voracek, but if it is, then that is a terrible way to end his career.
