Team Canada begins the road to a hopeful Gold Medal again at the World Junior Hockey Championships. The road to the Gold Medal will likely be much tougher as Canada lost some top talent due to the tournament being rescheduled. Even though Canada doesn't have the powerhouse line up they had the first time around, they still have hockey phenom, Connor Bedard.
Bedard is expected to go 1st overall in next year's NHL draft. Many even consider Bedard to be the NHL's next generational player. In the 1st period Bedard would immediately show why he's likely going 1st overall. Bedard showed off his elite skillset by pulling off an amazing drag and pull shot.
Unfortunately on his first attempt Bedard missed the net completely, but less than 30 seconds later Bedard picked up the puck in the same area. He would make a slight adjustment and use the same move to finish.
With this move Bedard showed not only his elite skillset, but displayed the determination that it takes to go 1st overall.
