Marcus Foligno was injured by the Colorado Avalanche's Kurtis MacDermid in the final game of the Wild's regular season. In spite of MacDermid's carelessness and Foligno being out the rest of the game, the Wild won 4-1.

It's the playoffs. That's my biggest answer. It'd feel wrong sitting out and just tried to get back and obviously feeling a lot better (Saturday) and got good news from docs. Just something you gotta play through for a while, and I can do that. Obviously, there's a little bit more equipment on the knee, but other than that, I feel pretty good, skating-wise, and I wouldn't be out there if I didn't feel like I could play. So, I feel pretty good.

With the Wild's playoff spot being secured already, may have given Foligno motivation to play through it. Foligno, a Power-Forward does it all, on the fore-check and back-check and contributes regularly with goals and assists.

His stat-line for the year: 42 points, with 23 goals and 19 assists, +25, and 16:42 time on the ice for the year.

A career year for the Foligno brother.

At a cap hit of $3.1 Million, he's a depth discount and will continue to push the needle for a Wild team competing with the St. Louis Blues in the 1st round.
