Tim Peel is most notably known for being caught on a hot mic openly admitting to managing an NHL game. Peel admitted to wanting to get a penalty against the Nashville Predators despite there not being much of anything on the play. Peel was immediately relieved of his duties as an NHL official for this transgression.

Since that time, Peel has become an active member on Twitter, engaging with fans and other members of the sport. But recently an interaction with Brandon Dubinsky has drawn some controversy.

The original tweet sent out by Brandon Dubinsky asks Paul Bissonnette to join him for a beer at the Rangers' game. That's when Peel jumps in and brings up a previous experience he had with Dubinsky playing Blackjack.

Some fans immediately jumped at the idea that an NHL official could possibly be gambling with a player. They felt that any possible situation involving players and referees involving a possible exchange of money could be problematic.

There is one thing for sure, if there is ever going to be a referee to say something they probably shouldn't... It's definitely going to be Tim Peel.
