Former Toronto Maple Leaf and Chicago Blackhawks player passes away at 82
Sadly today the Toronto Maple Leafs announced via their Twitter account that former Maple Leaf, Jim Pappin had passed away at the age of 82. Pappin is best known for his time with the Maple Leafs, where he won 2 Stanley Cups.
Pappin also scored the game winning goal for the Maple Leafs the last time they won the Stanley Cup.
We are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Jim Pappin.
Jim played 5 seasons in Toronto, winning the Stanley Cup in 1964 & �67. Named one of the 100 Greatest Leafs, he scored the Cup-winning goal and led team in scoring in �67.
Our thoughts are with his family & friends.
Pappin played 767 career games in the NHL and tallied 573 points. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Pappin family.
