Gary Bettman appears disappointed and surprised that the Canadiens win Draft Lottery
Over the years there have been many theories about Gary Bettman and his disdain for Canadian markets. Fans often reference his refusal to consider Quebec City a viable marker and the lack of success of Canadian teams as their clear evidence. But one thing no fan could ever claim was the lack of influx in talent the NHL provided Canadian teams with 1st overall.
Despite multiple claims the Draft Lottery was rigged, Edmonton and Toronto both saw themselves draft Generational Talents in Connor McDavid and Auston Matthews.
The NHL held their draft lottery last night and video has surfaced this morning of what many people would consider a surprised or disappointed Gary Bettman. Bettman's reaction seems muted compared to some previous years videos, but we will let you see for yourself.
So do you think Bettman was disappointed by the results? Maybe he's upset 4,700 won't get to watch Shane Wright live next season
