Carey Price made his long awaited return to the Montreal Canadiens on April 15, in the Bell Center against the Islanders, and in front of thousands of fans showing support for their long-tenured and widely respected starting goalie.
Price missed the entire season prior to this game with injury issues and entering the NHL Player's Assistance program, citing his mental health.
While it's great to see Price make his return to the Canadiens, the season hasn't been kind to the team, and for that reason prioritizing Price's comfort is more important than him competing to win games. At this point of the season, all anyone wants to see his a healthy and happy Carey Price.
Thankfully, that seems to be the case. Habs beat reporter John Lu of TSN reported Price has been feeling well, and the amount of games he'll start for the rest of the season will be managed day-to-day. In addition Price has spoken how how welcomed he's felt since entering the league, hearing support from legends Sidney Crosby and Alex Ovechkin.
