Jack Eichel taunts the Buffalo Sabres fans after scoring a big goal
Jack Eichel's relationship with the City of Buffalo and their fan base has been very well documented. The former 2nd overall pick more than overstayed his welcome before a medical issue boiled over into his final trade request. After months of waiting that trade request finally led him to being traded to the Vegas Golden Knights.
Last season's return to Buffalo was tainted by a big loss, that was tainted by a huge giveaway which cost the Golden Knights the game. Eichel had some harsh words for the Sabres fans after the game, but he left the city for a second time clearly frustrated.
Tonight during his 2nd game in Buffalo since the trade, Eichel scored a big goal late and instead of celebrating gracefully he took to taunting the crowd.
It's clear the relationship between Eichel and Buffalo is still strained and despite claiming he's moved on, Eichel still holds resentment. Let's hope some hockey karma catches up to Eichel and he misses the playoffs one more time.
