Nazem Kadri suffered a wrist injury in Game 3 of the Western Conference finals. It looked like he was done for as he was later seen with a cast. Kadri later had surgery on his thumb and was expected to miss the rest of the playoffs. However, he came back for game 4 of the Stanley Cup final against the Tampa Bay Lightning and ended up scoring the overtime winner in that game. But his return to the lineup was never supposed to happen.
Kadri was being interviewed on «Overdrive» a popular radio show in Toronto, when he revealed his original timeline to return after his injury was 8 weeks. He played 18 days later.
It's crazy to think that hockey players can play through this much pain. But when the Stanley Cup is on the line, they'll literally play with one arm if they have to.
