The Tampa Bay Lightning signed defenseman Philippe Myers to a one-year contract extension worth $1.4 million.

The 25-year-old collected one goal and three assists over 27 games with the Predators last season, adding two tallies and five helpers in 16 contests with the AHL's Toronto Marlies.

The right-shot defenseman has skated in 142 career NHL games over four seasons, spending three years in Philadelphia before being traded to the Predators last offseason. Myers, 6-foot-5, 210 pounds, has scored 7 goals and 33 points so far in his NHL career.
