The Winnipeg Jets have been hammered with the injury bug a month and a half into the season and from the sounds of it, they're about to be down another forward for an extended period of time.
According to Scott Billeck, a best writer covering the jets for the Winnipeg Sun, forward Mason Appleton will miss some time after he was injured in Sundays 4-3 win over the Seattle Kraken.
Appleton, 26, has played in 14 games for the Jets this season registering 1 goal and 5 assists for a total of 6 points.
Appleton, normally a checking forward had been elevated to the top line due to injuries.
Seems like the Jets are struggling with the injury bug so far this year, let's hope things turn around for them soon.
