Linesman forced to tackle Brad Marchand as things get heated between the Bruins and Sabres
When the Boston Bruins named Brad Marchand as the team captain, one of the most common criticisms was whether or not he'd be able to control his temper. While he's been able to do that so far this season, tonight he was up to this old tricks.
With the Bruins trailing 3-1 midway through the third period the captain tried to spark his team. Unfortunately as he did so Marchand was called for a trip against Henri Jokiharju. Marchand wasn't happy with the call and he attempted to let the Sabres know about it.
As Marchand tries to send a message to Jokiharju for ducking out of the way of a hit, the linesman charges in and immediately tackles Marchand to prevent things from escalating.
