Logan Couture lost it on Erik Karlsson on the bench, we now know why
It's been a frustrating season for the San Jose Sharks, and that frustration boiled over on the bench after a recent loss to the Vancouver Canucks. Logan Couture, the Sharks' Captain, was caught on camera losing it on teammate Erik Karlsson. Couture was clearly upset, but many people didn't know why.
Well video footage has finally been shared online at what upset Couture so much. While the Sharks were attempting to tie the game, veteran defenseman Karlsson can be seen simply standing next to a linesman, at the top of the screen, talking with him. This didn't last for a couple seconds, no Karlsson actually stood there and held this discussion for 14 seconds of play.
What makes this worse is this all happened on a Sharks powerplay, so this effectively made the play a 5 on 4 instead of a 6 on 4 situation. The play ended with Bo Horvat scoring an empty netter to make the game 4-2 and Couture was rightfully incensed.
