Last night the Ottawa Senators took on the Vegas Golden Knights at the Canadian Tire Centre. On paper this might be a mismatch, but with how the Senators scored the tying goal in the first period, it's just a reminder that anything can happen on any given night.

Down 1 with just over 4 minutes gone in the first period Ottawa centre-man Claude Giroux wants to dump the puck in to go for a change- and it goes in. Tying the game at 1's.

It seems like a routine dump in for Giroux and somehow, it takes a a bounce near the hash marks and over Golden Knight's Logan Thompson's glove.

My favourite part of this is that Giroux is clearly going for a change isn't paying attention and as soon as the puck goes in the net, he nods his head like he meant to do it.

The Golden Knights went onto win the game 5-4, which will allow Thompson to laugh at his blunder, which could have been much much worse.
