There's no doubt NHL goaltenders are a very special breed. We have heard and seen some very strange superstitions over the years. One of those strange superstitions was on full display last night, when Minnesota Wild goaltender, Marc-Andre Fleury put his close relationships with his goal posts on full display.
During last night's game in Minnesota the Wild were looking to tie the series after a disappointing loss in game one. Last night, Vladimir Tarasenko rang a shot off the post, as the puck cleared the zone Fleury was spotted channeling his inner Patrick Roy by patting his posts and talking to them offering them a, "Thank you".
Fleury's had that special relationship with his posts since he began his NHL career with the Pittsburgh Penguins were he won 3 Stanley cups. Fleury made 32 saves last night to lead the Wild to a 6-2 win over the St. Louis Blues.
