Marchand comes to the defense of former teammate after media member makes idiotic comment
The media is often known for trying to create narratives and this just happens to be another case of that. Matt Kalman, who is a Boston area freelance reporter who often covers the Bruins. After last night's victory over the Los Angeles Kings, Kallman took to his Twitter account to share his thoughts on David Krejci, who departed Boston as a free agent.
Krejci opted to return home amidst the COVID-19 pandemic so he could be closer to his friends and family during the season. Kalman posed this ridiculous question to fans:
In classic Brad Marchand fashion though, he came to the aid of his teammate and friend when he offered this reply.
Absolutely not.. yah we would love to have him, but he's earned the right to play in front of his family and friends.
It hard to believe that a reporter could possibly feel like any player, especially Krejci owes fans anything. Especially after he spent his entire 15-season career as a member of the Bruins.
