Friday night, the Anaheim Ducks embarrassed the Arizona Coyotes in a 5-0 game. There were two highlights from that game, Trevor Zegras with the possible goal of the year, and Jay Beagle blooding Troy Terry.
After a whistle in the third period, Jay Beagle cross-checked the Ducks' Trevor Zegras from behind. Then Beagle looked around and wanted to fight anyone who was close by. Jay Beagle and Troy Terry got into it and Beagle dropped the gloves and landed multiple punches on Terry, blooding the young player. Terry never had the chance to drop his gloves or get a punch in. Saturday, NHL Player Safety gave their assessment on the incident.
NHL Player Safety will not even examine what happened Friday night. Fines and suspensions have been given out for far less this season but George Parros did not think this even warranted an investigation. There will be no on ice retribution this year as the two teams won't meet again until next season.
