New York Rangers trying to make a big move, willing to move former 1st overall pick
The Trade Deadline is a crazy time of year and this year seems to be even crazier. According to David Pagnotta of The Fourth Period, it sound as though the Rangers are looking to make a huge deal right now.
Well, there are some interesting things coming out of the Big Apple here, and I'm sure it's going to thrill Rangers' fans. One player they are dangling right now I'm being told is, and I'm going to preface this by saying, it is going to take a significant deal for this to happen...but my understanding is they have made Alexis Lafreniere available. IF they bring in a top flight talent, in return who is controllable who has term on his contract. So they aren't just going to move him for the sake of it."
Lafreniere hasn't come close to living up to expectations with the Rangers as the former 1st round pick has only put up 40 points in 115 career games.
