Oilers working on extending Evander Kane
Evander Kane has been a steady performer since lacing up the skates for the Oilers in late January. He has 16 goals and and 26 points in 30 games. The most import stat is the Oilers are 18-9-3 with Kane in the Lineup.
Per Bob Stauffer Edmonton has made re-signing Kane a priority. He has even floated the idea of a 4 year deal with an annual cap hit of $4,000,000. This would be a great value if that is the number both parties could agree upon.
You can question Kane's character with the numerous instances out there but you can't question his ability to help the team he plays for to win hockey games. At the end of the day that's what it's all about for the Oilers.
