Back in February it was revealed that Toronto Maple Leafs' 2020 first round pick Rodion Amirov had been diagnosed with a brain tumour. At just 20-years-old, Amirov is already in the fight of his life.
Rodion Amirov just completed his first six weeks of chemotherapy. Saturday, Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet updated everyone on Amirov's health.
Amirov has made great progress as he has been on the ice three times a week and in the gym five times a week. This is on top of the chemotherapy he has been receiving. Truly inspirational.
In about 4 weeks Rodion Amirov will be starting another round of chemotherapy. Here's hoping it will be another successful treatment.
Best of luck Rodion.
