If the Ottawa Senators didn't have bad luck they'd have no luck at all. After an offseason that included the addition of Claude Giroux, Cam Talbot & Alex DeBrincat one may have assumed that the team in Canada's Nations capital would have at least been a fringe playoff team, however as the trade deadline approaches it would appear they're a seller instead of a buyer.

That brings us to today. With approximately two weeks until the deadline, the Sens, may be forced to look for a goaltender.

During Ottawa's recent game versus the visiting Edmonton Oilers, Zach Hyman appears to be cross-checked into Senator's goalie Anton Forsberg. Forsberg falls awkwardly as the play continues and after the play is blown dead lays on the ice. A stretcher is deemed to be necessary to cart the Senators goaltender off the ice.

Pierre Dorion just told us Anton Forsberg is out indefinitely with MCL tears in both knees. Season is likely over for him.

Jake Sanderson upper body will miss anywhere from 10-14 days.

Ottawa General Manager Pierre Dorion released a statement that Forsberg has an MCL tear in both knees and is out indefinitely. He made a point to suggest that he will not require surgery, but no timetable for his return will be released.
