The Chicago BlackHawks have seen some tremendous turnover this off-season, most notably trading forward Alex DeBrincat to the Ottawa Senators for a slew of draft picks. A move that Patrick Kane has mentioned is going to to move past.
According to Charlie Roumeliotis of NBC sports, Kane was disappointed to see DeBrincat go.
Patrick Kane said it was «disappointing» and «crushing» to see Alex DeBrincat traded: «He was my best friend. Definitely a guy I'll miss playing with.
With DeBrincat gone, one has to wonder how long it will be before longtime Blackhawks like Toews and Kane are shipped off as well. General manager Kyle Davidson is committed to the re-build and with that commitment is Kane's time as a Blackhawk running out?
The season is just around the corner. With any luck, we won't have to wait too long to find out.
