The story of Pierre-Luc Dubois is an interesting one. Having just turned 25, he's seemingly entering his prime, but on his third team in his relatively young career, there's a narrative that follows him around, one that he's eager to disprove.
According to Mayors Manor, a content partner with the Kings, Dubois is focused on one thing and one thing only, win a Stanley Cup while proving he can stay with a team long term; take a look.
Dubois Ready to Change the Narrative, It's Only About Winning
Dubois certainly had a lot to prove as he begins his tenure in LA, but he seems to be eager to do so and also help the Kings younger players along the way.
I feel like I'm an old young-guy at times, I've played six seasons,» he tried to explain, while underscoring the complexity of his story. «I just turned 25. I still have a lot to learn, but I feel like I have a lot of experience. I'm able to come to this group and help the younger guys and learn from the older guys.
Dubois also says he's often misunderstood and is fine with that, but I don't know that it's good enough for a Kings team that not only have up a lot to get him, but also inked 8-year 68 million dollar deal.
It seems Dubois trying to change the conversation around the beginning of his career, but also isn't concerned with how he's perceived.
