Insider reveals what may be the cause behind Alex Galchenyuk's contract termination
As reported earlier Alex Galchenyuk's contract with the Arizona Coyotes will be terminated today for the purpose of a buyout and the hockey universe ran rampant with speculation as to why this was occurring a mere twelve days after he was signed by the organization.
Although preliminary, it's been reported that the Coyotes were unaware of some «off-ice» issues that have come to light that they feel may have an impact as to whether keeping the forward is in the best interest of the team.

just 12 days after they signed him.
An NHL source tells ESPN that the Coyotes had discovered an "off-ice situation" impacting Galchenyuk that was previously unknown to the team.
While the Coyotes theoretically had an obligation to Galchenyuk and vice versa, obviously whatever the franchise discovered was serious enough that they felt letting him go was appropriate to save face.
Galchenyuk's tenure in the National Hockey League has been tumultuous, to say the least as the 29-year-old forward has played for eight teams since being drafted in 2012.
The hope is that whatever is going on, both Galchenyuk and the Coyotes can right the ship of their prospective careers and franchise respectively.
