In the past few days, Leafs' GM Kyle Dubas has not been happy with not only how inside business has been conducted by other GM's (see the Marc-Andre Fleury trade proposal) around the league, he also pointed out that the players Toronto have lost on the waiver wire outnumber every other team in the league by almost twice the amount. With the latest addition being Harri Saterri.
So, the question is, are the Leafs being laughed at around the league? Do other GM's think it's funny to not only leak inside details to the media but also pluck every Toronto player placed on waivers? According to Steve Dangle of Sportsnet and SDPN that is exactly why NHL GM's do it. Other GM's around the league think it's hilarious to make a claim on a Leafs' player, so much so, they appear to be doing it out of spite.
Opinion: if this is true, I don't get it. This doesn't sound professional at all. This makes it sound like people around the league hate the leafs for no other reason then it's something to do. And that would be the epitome of unprofessionalism.
