Referee takes a puck where you never want to during the Panthers and Red Wings game
The National Hockey League is the best hockey league in the world bar none and the officials are some of the best to do it, albeit, they do have some flaws. In any case, game officials do take punishment game in and game out, wether that verbal or physical.
Last night when the Detroit Red Wings took on the Florida Panthers, an official got in the way of what was supposed to be a dump in and he paid the price for it, take a look.
A Florida Panthers player, looks to be Anton Lundell was trying to send the puck into the Detroit zone and hits the linesmen right in the bean bag.
Most times I would say the officials deserve something like this for being in the way of the play, but in this case, it appears the puck rolled on the dump in.
Let's just hope he was able to get up after that shot. It looks as if this is a common theme in the NHL these days, I don't even think jocks would help a direct shot like that.
