Rem Pitlick claimed off waivers
Yesterday the Montreal Canadiens placed Rem Pitlick on waivers. Pitlick, 25, was acquired off of waivers by the Canadiens last season. In 46 games with the team he put up an impressive 9 goals and 17 assists in limited ice time.
Last summer the Canadiens signed Pitlick to a 2-year deal with $1,100,000 per season. The contract was only a one way deal, but his cap hit can be fully buried while in the minors. The Canadiens intended to have Pitlick report to the waivers if he'd cleared.
