Rick Tocchet tries to shutdown rumors of him returning to coaching, but he's not fooling anyone
According to Elliotte Friedman the Vancouver Canucks are looking to make changes in staff soon, as in recent months, front-office hostility toward Bruce Boudreau has reached a peak.
With the fall-out of that crescendo coming soon there's new there may be a new candidate for the Vancouver Canucks Head Coaching position.
On the NHL on TNT broadcast, Rick Tocchet poorly protests the speculation by his fellow newscasters that he may be interviewing, instead inferring that Paul Bissonnette may be interviewing for a coaching job instead.
Rick Tocchet is a terrible liar and literally bald-faced at that, you can tell by the tone that it's a possibility that Patrik Allvin and Jim Rutherford have inquired about the job. Tocchet previously worked as an assistant coach in Pittsburgh from 2014 to 2017 and has connections to Jim Rutherford.
Here's the thing, in 6 years of coaching experience spread over 2 teams, Tocchet hasn't been very successful only reaching the post-season once.
