Ron MacLean trends on Don Cherry's birthday and during the All-Star Game, fans still want him fired
Ron MacLean was once a widely loved and respected part of Hockey Night in Canada. Coaches Corner was must see TV for almost all Canadian kids who tuned into watch Ron and Don during the first intermission. That was until everything changed and Ron threw his long-time friend and co-worker under the bus.
Last night during an interview with Gary Bettman, Maclean's name began to trend online and that continued today. Today Don Cherry turned 89 and on Cherry's birthday, MacLean's name was commonly attached to it.
It's clear that many people haven't forgotten about Ron's involvement, so much so they've even started a petition for his job.
