In Saturday night's game between the Calgary Flames and St. Louis Blues, a scary injury occurred. Halfway through the third period the Calgary Flames tied the game 3-3 but lost one of their depth forwards in the process.
While battling for a loose puck in front of the net, Brett Ritchie had a Blues defender fall onto his leg awkwardly and it did not look good. Ritchie's right leg was turned sideways and he had to be helped off the ice.
Ritchie did not return to the game. No further update has been provided but right now it looks doubtful that Brett Ritchie will play again this season.
