Scary scene in Washington
On Friday night in Washington, Alex Ovechkin moves into 2nd place on the all-time NHL goals list. Unfortunately for the Capitals this happy moment was tainted by some concern for one of their teammates.
At the start of the third period, the Jets won a back to Brendan Dillon. Dillon lined up and fired a slap shot, which struck John Carlson right in the face. Before even hitting the ice there was a pool of blood on the ice.
Hopefully the injuries aren't serious. There has been no update at this time.
