Sergei Bobrovsky's future has been decided, as it seems Bill Zito has put Bobrovsky on the block. Bobrovsky the two-time Vezina Trophy winner, has been the #1 netminder in his time in Florida until Spencer Knight got some reps in net this past year. Despite his rebound this season, Zito will have to retain part of Bob's contract to move him it looks like.

The Russian netminder has four seasons and $40 million left on a seven-year, $70 million blockbuster deal he originally signed in 2019.

With Florida pushed up against the cap currently, along with having to pay vets like Huberdeau and Weegar, this will free up more cap to sign them as well.

Teams who could benefit from a veteran Goalie like Bobrovsky could be the Edmonton Oilers and Washington Capitals .

Bobrovsky, 33, had a 39-7-3 record in 54 appearances for the Presidents' Trophy winning Panthers, posting a .913 save percentage and three shutouts. Bob's 23.4 goals saved above expected ranked fourth best in the NHL per Money Puck, behind only Igor Shesterkin (34.1), Andrei Vasilevskiy (28.4), and Frederik Andersen (27.8).
