Surprising team makes the list for top 10 most expensive NHL ticket prices
If you want to see an NHL game live this season you better be prepared to spend some money. The highest average ticket price is once again in Toronto this year. No surprise there. The average seat at Scotiabank Arena is $309 a ticket. Number two on the list seems a little surprising. The Seattle Kraken come in second on the list at just over $300 per average ticket. To see a new team in a new arena it is going to cost Kraken fans. The New York Rangers, Edmonton Oilers, and Boston Bruins round out the top five in highest ticket average.
If you don't happen to live in those markets or want to spend less and are willing to travel, there are still teams that are a bargain. The New Jersey Devils, San Jose Sharks, Florida Panthers, Dallas Stars, and Buffalo Sabres are the five lowest average ticket prices. A Ticket for those clubs is right around $150. New Jersey average cost per ticket is $120 per ticket, lowest in the league.
No matter which team you follow it's expensive to attend an NHL game. Of course, a ticket does not include parking, concessions, or souvenirs. I don't know how the average family affords to attend a game anymore. Maybe the answer is they subscribe to ESPN+ for $9.99 a month and watch any game they want on TV.
