The Arizona Coyotes' situation gets even more embarrassing

At this point, suggesting the Arizona Coyotes' situation is anything but embarrassing would be inaccurate. The idea of an NHL team playing in a 5,000 seat arena is bad enough, but things have somehow managed to get much worse.
Before yesterday's game between the Coyotes and Devils tickets were still 90% available. The game ended up with an attendance of 8,679 people, or approximately 50%, not all of which was paid attendance. The Coyotes went on to lose that game 6-2.
The Arizona Coyotes idea to solve their empty building issue, is to simply play in a smaller arena. That's where the ASU Multipurpose Arena comes into play. The 5,000 seat arena is at least 10,000 seats smaller than ever other arena in the league.
An unnamed player has even quoted saying:
We are going to be the laughing stock of the entire NHL If where not already.
This isn't going to work we won't even sell out this building either.
So how could things get worse? Well today Arizona State University released their schedule for the upcoming year and it turns out the Coyotes weren't even able to negotiate priority dates into their deal. Which means ASU will get all the prime time slots, while the Coyotes simply fill in the empty dates.
Taking a look at this schedule you can see the Sun Devils receive almost all weekend dates, which will push an NHL team to playing second fiddle.
I think we can all agree, it's time to pull the plug in Arizona.
