Their pipeline is fairly dry, aside from Lukas Reichel and Kevin Lankinen definitely hasn't turned out to be as advertised. So getting prospects wouldn't be out the question, especially their depth(or lack thereof).
The question is what are their plans for 2023, who are they looking at in regards to the draft? There are players like Beddard, Michkov, and Fantilli who will all be available. So it'd be wise to stack picks to start.
DeBrincat will be an RFA, due for a raise with his current cap hit is $6.4 million, and he will have arbitration rights. So unless Davidson wants to pay, DeBrincat will be moved to kickstart the rebuild.
So for now, we will have to speculate, but there's been similar talk that Davidson will want NHLers and picks in return for DeBrincat, which wouldn't be out of the norm, given his offensive output which 41 goals and 78 points is always something you'd want to add to your team.
It is rumoured that the starting price for DeBrincat is similar to what the Blackhawks received for Brandon Hagel, but it is expected that both the prospects and picks involved would need to be higher valued than what they received for Hagel.
