This is the reason Rick Tocchet will be the next head coach of the Vancouver Canucks
It's almost hard to describe what a mess the Vancouver Canucks are these days. The team has faltered, players are unhappy, and the management decisions with this organization have been deplorable.
Reports have stated that Bruce Boudreau is down to his final moments coaching with the team and he will be replaced with Rick Tocchet. You might ask yourself, why choose Rick Tocchet? His coaching track record has not been very good. Well NHL reporter Farhan Lalji stated that Vancouver wants Tocchet to get disgruntled forward J.T. Miller playing better.
What a terrible decision by the Canucks. Vancouver chose to re-sign JT Miller. Now the organization wants Rick Tocchet as coach to get JT Miller playing well. A player who will start making almost $8 million per season next year. Yikes! If you hire a coach to try and re-adjust one specific player's attitude, it might be the player who has the problem, not the coach.
It continues to be a disastrous year for the Canucks. So bad it's embarrassing. I feel bad for Bruce Boudreau who was thrown into the fire last year. He did what he could with the roster that he had. Management sure didn't help him with fixing the roster much. The season isn't even over yet. Let see what else Vancouver can screw up this year.
