A young Russian prospect by the name of Ivan Miroshnichenko received some horrible news. Ivan is 18 years old and is considered one of the top Russian prospects for the 2022 draft. He has been ranked as high as 6th overall by TSN Insider Bob Mackenzie.
We have just learned that Ivan was diagnosed with Hodgkin lymphoma, which is a cancer in your lymphatic system.
Hodgkin's lymphoma formerly known as Hodgkin's disease is a cancer of the lymphatic system, which is part of your immune system. It may affect people of any age, but is most common in people between 20 and 40 years old and those over 55. - www.mayoclinic.org
Russian Hockey said that more testing is to be done, but as of right now he is receiving treatment in Germany and is expected to miss the remainder of the season.
