The Toronto Maple Leafs and Kyle Dubas have committed a lot of time and money to the Core Four. The organization appears dead set on living by that sword and dying by it. It may not be the right choice, but it's the one they've opted to bet their careers on.

After a 6th consecutive 1st round exit the Leafs are moving into uncharted territory. With only 2 years remaining on Auston Matthews deal the Leafs could be forced into another rebuild much sooner than they'd like.

But if the Leafs chose to move on from a member of the Core Four, who would it be?

If their new advertisements in Union Station are any indication it appears the team may not have William Nylander in their long-term plans.

The sign features all three of Auston Matthews, Mitch Marner and John Tavares, while also featuring Michael Bunting and TJ Brodie. William Nylander was a surprising omission. It's strange to see Michael Bunting, who is in the final year of his deal on the sign, but not Nylander.

This might just show how the Maple Leafs feel about Nylander and his long-term position in the Leafs organization.
