Monday night, the Boston Bruins were embarrassed in Game 1 of their first round matchup with the Carolina Hurricanes. The Hurricanes won 5-1 to take a 1-0 series lead. At the end of the game the Bruins tried to get physical.
With only seconds left, Trent Frederic hit Brendan Smith into the boards behind the play. But as soon as Hurricanes players came in to stand up for Smith, Frederic started skating away, wanting no part of a fight.
I wouldn't be surprised if in game 2 a Carolina Hurricanes' player challenges Frederic to a fight right off the bat. This is likely to be the tamest game in this series as the physicality is likely to pick up for Game 2.
