The Montreal Canadiens have turned their fortunes around, by hiring Martin St. Louis. It also helps to have multiple talented players make their presence known by dominating the competition. The sudden emergence has changed the conversation about the Habs.

In these conversations, there's always an odd man out, and this name is surprising as I would've thought the Habs would've moved on from Christian Dvorak before this player.

There's talk that the Canadiens are looking to trade winger, Josh Anderson, who was acquired in a trade, for Max Domi and a third-round pick by the Columbus Blue Jackets.

Anderson agreed to terms after the trade with a $5.5 million a year AAV, for 7 years which is for a rebuilding team it looks like if true, Kent Hughes may be trying to move some cap.

But for what?

It's been speculated that the Edmonton Oilers and Calgary Flames would be interested in the power forward, who used to be a big on-ice presence for the Columbus Blue Jackets.

Before the trade, Anderson was struggling to attain the same production he did in his early career in Columbus. In the last two seasons, he put up 56 points combined and hasn't been the player he was, since his career year in 2018-2019.
