It may be pre-season, but the battle of Ontario is always intense no matter the time of year. During the first period of tonight's Toronto Maple Leafs vs Ottawa Senators game, things got a little heated.
Toronto forward Wayne Simmonds absolutely steamrolls Ottawa defender Thomas Chabot, take a look below:
Chabot would go to the Sens dressing room for a few minutes but would return later in the period.
As is customary , Simmons had to respond for his hit after Austin Watson challenged him to a fight. The two would drop the gloves and have a pretty decent tilt.
This is only the second week of the pre-season, if this is any indication, the battle of Ontario is going to be fun to watch this year.
