Former NHL goaltender Carey Price's wife has weighed in on the boxing controversy heard worldwide in recent days.

Everyone seemed to have an opinion on the female boxer from Algeria who was accused of being a man because of her possibly elevated testosterone levels recently.

Now, Carey Price's wife Angela has weighed in on the controversy that has taken over the 2024 Paris Olympic Games with a take that many will agree with, but one that is also objectively false all the same.

Imane Khelif has been under fire for accusations that she is a man after her opponent Italian Angela Carin gave up just 46 seconds in.

This kind of rhetoric, especially for someone of Algerian descent is harmful, to say the least, and has garnered the attention of the world's most popular figures, Angela Price being the latest.

The International Olympic Committee issued a statement shortly after confirming Khelif was indeed a woman at birth to save the boxer from potentially harmful repercussions.

People are entitled to their opinions and the fact that Khelif has elevated levels of testosterone due to a medical condition is a point of contention, but to blindly imply that a woman competing against women is not a woman is wrong, hurtful and harmful.

I'm sure Angela Price didn't know all the information even that statement was made, but even so, blindly repeating something that is biologically and factually incorrect, should be a learning experience at the very least
