Easton Cowan wasn't at his best during Team Canada's loss to the United States, and forward Cole Eiserman hasn't been shy in letting him know about it.

After years of domination, Team Canada were brutally beaten on New Years Eve by Team USA, who came away winners 4-1 to claim top spot in the pool and establish themselves as favourites to win their second straight tournament.

The game has caused major reactions in Canada after the team picked a dreadful roster and were soundly beaten, but it has been Maple Leafs prospect Easton Cowan that has taken the brunt of the criticism.

One person in particular that criticized him was opponent Cole Eiserman of Team USA, who capitalized on a late penalty from Cowan to give his team a 3-1 lead on the powerplay with this beauty.

He wasn't shy about letting Cowan know how much his penalty cost the team either, as he would directly celebrate in his face while calling him out after the play as a dejected Cowan was skating back to the bench, knowing how much he had cost his team.

Unfortunately for Cowan and Team Canada, things wouldn't get any better, as he would ultimately turn the puck over deep in his defensive zone, with Team USA capitalizing and nailing the empty netter to put the team up for good 4-1.

Ultimately, the roster that Canada put together for this tournament wasn't what the team needed to compete with the likes of Team USA, and now we are seeing the results of that, and while Cowan is taking most of the criticism online, this is a team that's simply not built to win, with Eiserman and the United States taking full advantage of that.
