The Edmonton Oilers look poised to have a deep playoff run this year after getting off to a rather rocky start. One thing the Oilers have always struggled with though is their depth, either because they're too up against the salary cap, or just bad signings and trades in general. If they're to add some much needed depth, they'll go far when
it matters.

With that in mind, it looks like the Oilers have their eye on some much needed depth scoring and grit. According to Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman, two names that have been connected to Edmonton are Anaheim Ducks forwards Sam Carrick and Adam Henrique; take a look.

Friedman at the intermission says the Oilers have interest in 2 players from Anaheim: Adam Henrique and Sam Carrick, not sure if it's both as a pair or just one of them.

Whether it's just one player or both as a pair remains to be seen, but Henrique is a point producing forward and Carrick would provide a much more gritty game in the bottom 6.

Either way, both players would help the Oilers tremendously, if they came to the Oilers as a package deal, the would be a lot tougher to beat.
