The Edmonton Oilers have had a rather surprising turnaround this season after firing Jay Woodcroft. It's like the team everyone imagined they would be proof to the season. With that being said, there's been a ginormous misstep in attempting to add depth. No, it's not Corey Perry.

In the off-season, the Oilers tried to let free agent forward Connor Brown, who only played 4 games for the Washington Capitals due to injury last season a chance to save his career, unfortunately, it hasn't worked to this point. According to Sportsnet Mark Spector, the Oilers may consider parting with Brown after being a healthy scratch recently due to his play; take a look.

Brown, 30, has played in 44 games with the Oilers so far this season and has only registered 4 points while getting a very sizeable games played bonus along the way. All of his points have been assists.

The experiment failed, it's happens to everyone. Just ask Kyle Dubas who's made a habit of having to go to the bargain bin for depth because of the cap situations he puts his teams in.

It's time for the Oilers to call time on the Connor Brown experiment.
