An NHL veteran is trying to make a comeback to the league after spending this past season in Europe while trying to get his career back on track after neurological issues nearly ended his career not too long ago forcing him away from the world's top league.

According to Chris Johnston of TSN and The Athletic, Ondrej Kase is eying a return to the National Hockey League after a season away due neurological issues forced him to continue his career overseas; take a look.

: Two years after neurological issues derailed Ondřej Kae's career, the free-agent forward eyes an NHL return.

Kase, 28, had struggled with head injuries his last couple of seasons in the NHL playing 50 games with the Toronto Maple Leafs during the 2021-22 season and just 1 game during the 2022-23 with the Hurricanes. The forward spent last year with HC Litvnov in Czechia playing in 48 games scoring a total of 54 points including 23 goals and adding 31 assists.

Kase spent this season fully healthy and is currently playing with Czechia in the World Championships.

It's been great to see Kase spend a season free of health issues and with his interest in returning to the NHL, I'm sure teams would be willing to give him a depth contract if the fit is right.
