An insider has revealed that Stan Bowman who was recently cleared to seek employment on July 10th is on the verge of joining Western Conference team.
Stan Bowman, former general manager of the Chicago Blackhawks was recently cleared to join an NHL front office should there be any takers. Although it might not be in the capacity you think
According to The Mug on instagram, Bowman is really close to joining the Edmonton Oilers front office. At this time it is unknown in what capacity though.
This would be Bowman's first job since leaving the Chicago Blackhawks and being reinstated by the National Hockey League.
The role might not be known yet, but if we are to go off of what the Mug has said, look for the Oilers to hire Bowman in some capacity over the coming days.
Jeff Jackson, interim general manager in Edmonton did mention that they hadn't spoken during their search for a permanent general manager, so it appears one of the only roles left for Bowman would be a Senior Advisor to the general manager or a position of the like.
We'll have to see if this pans out, but for now, all signs point to Bowman joining the Oilers front office.
