With the score 5-1 in the 2nd period between the Florida Panthers and Edmonton Oilers, things get heated between Zach Hyman and Sam Bennett.
Edmonton Oilers forward Zach Hyman does what he's known for: crashing the net, only this time, Panthers forward Sam Bennett takes exception and punches him in the back of the head as thing escalate with the game now out of hand and heavily in the Oilers favour.
Hyman does appear to give Panthers goaltender Anthony Stolarz an extra whack at the end of the play, prompting the Bennett response. After that happens, everyone on the ice grabs an opposing player and they don't let go.
In fact, later in the sequence, Bennett goes after Connor McDavid and gets a few shots in on him as well while the officials try and fail to gain control of the situation.
When all the dust settles, the Oilers get a 5 on 3 power play.
This is what happens when one team is losing by a large margin. They attempt to send a message for the next game knowing there will be a game 5.
If you're the Oilers, you can't get sucked into the Panthers antics, if your the Panthers, this is the time you try to take names and do some physical damage.
