University of Oregon goaltender passes away unexpectedly at 22-years-old

A U.S. college goaltender has passes away unexpectedly at the age of 22.

We have some news to pass along in the hockey world on Monday as it's been announced that University of Oregon Ducks goaltender Henry Bradford as passed away at 22-years-old.

The University of Oregon Ducks announced Bradford's passing in a social media post, saying that they're heartbroken with the news and shared that the goaltender was an amazing human being.

"We are heartbroken to share that our Senior goaltender, Henry ''Hank'' Bradford unexpectedly passed away on Friday, September 20th 2024. Hank was an incredibly kind and thoughtful man with a contagious laugh and an amazing sense of humor. As great a goalie as he was, Hank was an even better human. He was the perfect example of treating people how you want to be treated, never missing an opportunity to call someone "sir or ma'am."

Hank, your mustache and last second splits will go down in Oregon hockey history forever. We'll miss you #1." The University of Oregon said.


Bradford spent the last three seasons with the University of Oregon, 2022-23 and 2023-24 which they were in ACHA. In 11 ACHA games with the Ducks, Bradford had a 2-8-0 record, a 4.22 goals against average and an .885 save percentage.
