Patrick has struggled with both upper body injuries and concussion issues In his career before being diagnosed with hereditary migraine disorder 2019-2020 season. He did come back in the 2021-22 season, playing just 25 games for the Golden Knights.
If this is indeed the end of the road for Patrick in the NHL, it's quite sad that the league and the Golden Knights didn't allow him to have his name on the cup. One would think his circumstance is special and should be treated as such.
